Question

The water level in a beaker rises by 200 ml when 10 marbles are dropped in it. What will be the volume of 30 marbles (in cu cm) ?

The quantity of water that raises when 10 marbles are dropped in the beaker of water = 200 ml

Hence, Volume of 10 marbles = 200 ml
Volume of 1 marble = 200 ÷ 10 = 20 ml
Volume of 30 marbles = 20 × 30 = 600 ml

We know, 1 ml = 1 cu cm
600ml = 600 cu cm

The volume of 30 marbles is 60 cu cm.
