The weight of an object in the interplanetary space is zero. Why?

The weight of the body will be zero because there will be no gravity. Which can be understood by the equation

Weight=mass×gravity

Hence the gravity will be zero in space. Which leads that the weight will be zero. But here is one thing we should note that mass is always constant.
