The Mean = $\frac{S u m o f a l l o b s e r v a t i o n}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f o b s e r v a t i o n}$ = $\frac{9 + 10 + 8 + 9 + 12 + 10}{6}$ = 9.66.
So,the average hours worked by that employee is 9.66 hours.
