Substituting the value, t=1 second in the equation, x = (2-t) (t-6) metre, we get, x= - 5 m

Substituting the value, t=4 second in the equation, x = (2-t) (t-6) metre, we get, x= 4 m

Displacement = final position - initial position =4 - ( - 5) = 9 m
