Thecost of $3$ televisions and $2V.C.R.s$ is $Rs.35,000$. The shop-keeper wants profit of $Rs.1,000$. per television and $Rs.500$. $perV.C.R$. He can sell $2$ televisions and $1V.C.R$ and he gets the total revenue as $Rs.21,500$. Find the cost and the selling price of a television and a $V.C.R$.

Let the cost of television be $x$ and V.C.R be $y$.

$3x+2y=Rs.3,500$

$SP$ of a television $=x+1000$

$SP$ of a VCR $=y+500$

$2(x+1000)+3(y+500)$

Solving above two equations

we get, $x=5000$

$y=10,000$

$SP$ of a television $=Rs.(5000+1000)=Rs.6000$

$SP$ of a VCR $=Rs.(10,000+500)=Rs.10,500$
