Solution
The correct option is A Louis Pasteur Anaximander and Aristotle was main profounder of theory of spontaneous generation which assume origin of life from non living substances. It assumes origin of frog and toads from mud that of microorganisms from air and so on. Concept of spontaneous generation was experimentally refuted by Pasteur, Spallanzani and F. Redi. Pasteur, 1864, killed all living forms of hay infusion by boiling which in turn showed growth of microorganisms only after its exposure to air by breaking the bottleneck i.e., origin of life from pre existing life, the biogenesis. He maintained the mixture free of life for 18 months and refuted the theory of abiogenesis/spontaneous generation of life.
