Ask:
What do we have to do here?
Ans: We need to find how many more sandwiches are there in the red bag than in the blue bag.

How many sandwiches are there in the red bag?
Ans: 12

How many sandwiches are there in the blue bag?
Ans: 5

How many more sandwiches are there in the red bag than in the blue bag?
Ans: 7

How did you find the answer?
Ans: By subtracting the smaller number, i.e. 5, from the greater number, i.e. 12. We get a difference of 7.
