Total number of candies =22
Number of children =4
Number of candies each child would get =22÷4

Solving 22÷4 by repeated subtraction:


Here, the quotient is 5. So, each of the 4 children will get 5 candies.

And, as we get the remainder 2, after equal distribution of candies among 4 children, the remaining candies would be 2.
