There are 40 animals in a zoo out of which \(\frac{2}{5}\) of them were shifted from another zoo. Find the number of animals that were originally in the zoo
Number of animals in the zoo = 40
Fraction of animals shifted from another zoo = 25
Hence of number of animals shifted from another zoo = 25 × 40 = 16
∴ Number of animals that were originally in the zoo = 40 - 16 = 24
