The correct option is B 2 girls in each group
Number of Girls in the class =40
Number of Boys in the class =60

Maximum groups to be formed by physical education instructor will be GCD of number of Girls and Boys
GCD (40,60)
40=2×2×2×5
60=2×2×3×5

GCD will be 2×2×5=20

Maximum 20 groups will be there.

Now, The number of girls in each group will be =4020=2
