The correct option is C 15
$Let the number of passengers having ticket worth ₹ 3 = x$

$Then the passengers having ticket worth ₹10 = 40-x$

Then,
$3 \times x + 10 \times (40 - x) = 295 \Rightarrow 3 x + 400 - 10 x = 295 \Rightarrow - 7 x = 295 - 400 \Rightarrow - 7 x = - 105 \Rightarrow x = \frac{- 105}{- 7} \Rightarrow x = 15$

$∴ Number of passengers with tickets worth ₹3 = 15.$
