There are 500 children in a school .for a PT drill they have to stand in such a manner that the number of columns and he number of rows are equal.how many children are left out in this arrangement

Solution -: Let the number of row be x ,
since the number of column is same as row there for column will be x as well
Number of students = 500
we know that 23 ^2 = 23*23 =529
and 22^2 = 22*22 = 484 since student must be 500 or less than 500 so we will take perfect square 22^2 = 484
Number of student will be left = 500-484=16
So, the number of students in this arrangment = 16 answer
