There are 75 rose and 45 lily flowers. These are to be made into bouquets containing both the flowers. All the bouquets should contain the same number of flowers. Find the number of bouquets with maximum number of flowers that can be formed and the number of flowers in them.

Since it is given that there are 75 rose and 45 lily flowers. Therefore,

Factorise 75 as follows:

75=3×5×5

Now, factorise 45 as follows:

45=3×3×5

We know that HCF is the highest common factor.

Since the common factor between the numbers 75 and 45 is 3×5=15.

Hence, the number of banquets that can be formed is 15 and total number of flowers are 5+3=8.
