Total number of balls in the bag = 80

It is given that $\frac{1}{4}$ of the balls are blue.

$\text{Hence, number of blue balls}=\frac{1}{4}\times 80$

$=20$

∴ Remaining balls = 80 – 20
= 60

Out of the remaining balls, the number of red balls is twice more than green balls.

Let the number of green balls be x.

Hence,

x + 2x = 60

⇒ 3x = 60

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{60}{3}=20$

Number of green balls = 20

So, the number of red balls
= 2 × x = 2 × 20 = 40
