Let the total number of people at restaurant be x.

Given: Number of Adults = 3x/8

⇒ Number of children = x - 3x/8 = 5x/8

According to the question

5x/8 - 3x/8 = 90

⇒ x/4 = 90

⇒ x = 90 × 4 = 360

Hence number of children = 5 × 360/8 = 225
