Cranial and spinal nerves are part of peripheral nervous system. The 12 pairs of cranial nerves are part of peripheral nervous system and are mostly concentred with head, neck and facial region of the body (vagus nerve X being the part of autonomous division serves as an exception). These are namely olfactory, optic, vestibulocochlear, vagus, oculomotor, trochlear, abducens, spinal accessory, trigeminal, facial, glossopharyngeal and hypoglossal nerves. Spinal nerves are attached to spinal cord. There are total 31 spinal nerves which are grouped as cervical (C1 to C8), thoracic (T1 to T12), lumber (L1 to L5), sacral (S1 to S5), and coccygeal nerves (C1). Correct answer is B.
