Testis in males:

The primary reproductive organ in males is the testis that also acts as an endocrine gland. The leydig cells present in the testes secrete androgens (majorly testosterone) which is responsible for the development of secondary sexual characters.


Ovaries in female:

Ovary is the primary female sex organ which contain follicles (containing ovum) at different stages of development. Estrogen, progesterone and relaxin are secreted from these structures.
