there are several orbitals with only one electron, they create a partial charge on the atom, making it like a tiny magnet.how?

Solution
an electron has a spin value and this spin of an electron causes a magnetic moment and in turn a magnetic field. An orbital can accumulate 2 electrons , each having opposite spin. So a completely filled orbital will have a net spin of 0 and hence no magnetic field . A single electron in an orbital produces a magnetic field and an atom hence acts like a tiny magnet.
You will understand this concept much more deeply in your higher classes. don't worry
