Solution

The correct option is B 1
Equation of the three sources can be written as,
y1=asin(2×400πt)=asin(800πt)
y2=asin(2×401πt)=asin(802πt)
y3=asin(2×402πt)=asin(804πt)
y=y1+y2+y3
y=asin(800πt)+asin(802πt)+asin(804πt)
y=asin(802πt)[1+cos2πt]
Amplitude A=a[1+cos2πt]
A is maximum when cosπt=+1
2πt=2kπ ....where (k=0,1,2,3,4,....)
or t=k
at t=0,1,2,3.... we hear maximum sound.
the time interval=1sec
and the beats frequency =11=1/sec
