There are three tankers whose capacities are in the ratio 4 : 5 : 6. If the largest water tanker can hold a capacity of 3600 liters, then find the capacity of the other two tankers in liters.
2400,3000
Let the capacity of the water tankers be 4x, 5x and 6x .
Given that the capacity of the largest tanker = 3600 Liters
Hence 6 x = 3600 liters
x = 36006
= 600
∴ The capacity of the smallest tanker = 4×(600)= 2400 liters
The capacity of the other tanker = 5×(600) = 3000 liters
