There are three types of tickets, economy, business and first class. The price of these tickets is in the ratio, economy:business: first class= 2:5:9.
(i) The price of a business ticket is Rs.2350.
Calculate the price of a first class ticket.
(ii) Work out the price of an economy ticket as a percentage of the price of a first class ticket.

Let the tickets be in multiple of x.

Then, economy: Business : First class$=2x;5x$ and $9x$

Price of a Business tickets $=$Rs. $2350$ Price of economy tickets

$\therefore 5x=2350$ $=2x=2\times 2350$

$\Rightarrow x=470$ $=2\times 470$

$=$Rs. $940$

$\therefore$ Price of a first class ticket $=9x=9\times 470=$Rs. $4230$

(ii) Percentage of economy ticket with respect to first class ticket

$=\frac{940}{4230}\times 100=22.2\%$.
