There are two boxes. Each one contains paper slips marked 1 to 10. If we take one slip from each box, what is the probability that both numbers are prime?

If we draw one slip from each box, total number of possible pairs=10×10=100
Prime numbers between 1 and 10 are 2,3,5 and 7.
Thus, there are 4 prime numbers in each box.
Number of pairs such that two slips are prime =4×4=16
Thus, probability that both the slips are prime =16100=425
