There are two concentric hollow conducting spheres of radius r and R (r < R). The charge on outer shell is Q. What charge should be given to inner shell so that the potential at any point P outside the outer sphere is zero?

$V_{P} = 0$
$\Rightarrow \frac{k Q}{x} + \frac{k q}{x} = 0 \Rightarrow q = - Q$
