Question

There are two factories, one in India and another in US. Mr. Anish purchased these two factories for total 80 crores. Later on, he sold the Indian factory at the rate of 16% profit and the US factory at 32% profit, thereby he gained 20%. What is the selling price of the factory

Let the cost price of Indian Factory be X
Then the cost price of US Factory = 80X
According to question, X+16X100+ (80X) + (80X) 32100=80×65
On solving it we got X=60
So cost price of factories are 60 crores and 20 crores respectively
Thus selling price of Indian factory = 60×116100=69.6crores
Selling price of US factory = 20×132100=26.4Crores
