v1=2g(h+x);v22gx; ρ=density of liquid ;a=cross sectional area of each hole,volume of liquid discharge per second at hole=av (v1=v2)
mass of liquid discharge =avρ
momentum of liquid discharged per second=av2ρ
so,the force exerted at the uper hole to the right=aρv22
and the force exerted at the lower hole to the left=aρv12.
net force on the tank =aρ[v12v22]=aρ[2g(h+x)2gx]=2aρgh
hence, the tank will experience a net horizontal force proportional to h.
