Solution

The correct option is A 1
Let
ηx=η and ηy=2η
λy=2λ
Initially rate of disintegration of X s ηN0 and that of Y is 2ηN02λN0.
After one half life of X , rate of disintegration of X will becomes ηN0/2and that of Y would also be ηN0/2λN02 ( half - life of B=1212half life of A )
So after one half of A or two half lives of B
(dNdt)A=(dNdt)B
So,
(−dNdt)A=(−dNdt)B
n=1
