There are two tubs full of water, A and B.
The water in tub A contains MgCl2 salts in very low concentration. Tub B on the other hand contains MgCl2 salts in high concentration. Clothes are washed using soap and water from these tubs separately. The clothes washed using water from which of the two tubs will be cleaner?
It is given that water in a tub A contains very low concentration of MgCl2 salts. Which means the water is soft and can easily lather with soap.
However, water in tub B does not easily lather with soap because it contains high concentration of MgCl2. So tub B contains hard water.
Clothes washed with soft water will be much cleaner than one with hard water because when soap is added to soft water it is easier for the water molecules to break apart and trap dirt in between them.
Hence, the clothes washed with water in tub A will be much more cleaner.
