Rate of increase (R) 5% p.a
Period (n) = 3 years
A=P(1+R100)n
9261=P(1+5100)3=P(2120)3
P=9261÷(2120)3=9261×(2021)3
=9261×2021×2021×2021=8000
3 years ago, population = 8000
