Question

There is a cuboid of dimensions 1×b×h and thermal capacity 'K' units. On doubling the dimensions of the cuboid. Find the thermal capacity.

Solution

Thermal capacity=mass×Specific heat
or, Thermal capacity = density×volume×specific heat
Its clear from above equation, if we double the dimension i.e., volume of the cuboid, the thermal capacity gets doubled. hence, new thermal capacity is '2K' units.
