There is a pentagonal shaped park as shown in the figure. For finding its area Jyoti and Kavita divided it in two different ways.Find the area.

Area of pentagon $=ar\left(\Delta ABC\right)+ar\left(BCED\right)$

$=[\frac{1}{2}\times base\times height]+[side\times side]$

$=[\frac{1}{2}\times 15\times 15]+[15\times 15]$

$=\frac{225}{2}+225$

$=\frac{225+450}{2}$

$=\frac{675}{2}$

Area of pentagon $=337.5m^2$
