There is a rectangular parking lot with a length of $2x$ and a width of $x$. if the ratio of the perimeter of the parking lot to the area of the parking lot is given by $\frac{k}{x}$ then find the value of $k$.

Length, $l=2x$, Breadth, $b=x$

Now, Perimeter, $P=2(l+b)$ = $2\times (2x+x)=6x$

Area, $A=l\times b=2x^2$

$\Rightarrow \frac{P}{A}=\frac{k}{x}\Rightarrow \frac{6x}{{2x}^2}=\frac{k}{x}\Rightarrow k=\frac{{6x}^2}{{2x}^2}=3$
