Given,
side of a rombus=$17$cm
diagonal side=$30$cm
$\because A{B}^2=A{E}^2+B{E}^2$
$\Rightarrow (17{)}^2=(15{)}^2+B{E}^2$
$\Rightarrow B{E}^2=289-225=64$
$\Rightarrow BE=x=8$
$\therefore BC=16$
Area of the rhombus
$=\frac{1}{2}(BC\times AD)$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times 16\times 30$
$=240c{m}^2$
