The correct option is C

100 cm2


For a kite, two adjacent sides are equal.

There are two triangles, which are colored red and green.

Since the two adjacent sides are equal for a kite and a diagonal which is common to both triangles, by the SSS congruence criterion we can prove that both the triangles are congruent and they have equal areas.

So, the area of the kite will be equal to the sum of the area of the two triangles.

Area of kite = (50 + 50) cm2 = 100 cm2
