Half life of reaction = 120 min
We know that,
For first order reaction,
k=0.693t1/2

k=0.693120=5.77×103 min1

First order reaction equation,
t=2.303klog aax

For 90% decomposition,
If a=100,x=90
(ax)=10

So,
t=2.3035.77×103log 10010090

t=2.3035.77×103log 10=2.3035.77×103=399 min
