Pollutants:

Pollutants are any substance, physical or chemical factors that, when released into the environment, affect the living organisms and environment.

Ways to minimize waste and pollutants :

1. The use of plastic bags should be prohibited, instead of plastic bags, use jute or cotton bags.
2. Reuse old newspapers and polythene bags.
3. Follow 3R rules for reducing waste production and pollution.
4. While throwing the waste, segregate Biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste
5. Use composting to recycle the kitchen waste into useful compost.
