Solution

The correct option is D Elephanta
The Elephanta Caves are located on the Elephanta Island in the Arabian Sea, 12 km away from Mumbai. When the Portuguese navigators landed on this island, they saw a huge stone monument of an Elephant on the island. Thus, they named it Ilha Elefante, which literally translates to as “Elephanta Island”. It was granted the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The caves are now under the maintenance of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
