Dadabhai Naoroji was born in a Parsi family. He became a professor of Mathematics and Philosophy at Elphinstone College in Bombay. He was famous as the 'Unofficial Ambassador of India' in London. He was the first Indian to win a seat in the British House of Commons in 1892. His efforts led to the legislature passing a resolution to conduct Indian Civil Services Exam in England and India simultaneously. He also founded the East India Association in London to make the Bristish public aware about the state of affairs in the Indian subcontinent.
