Solution

The correct option is B 13% Loss

Given, for the first article A

C.P=Rs4,000
Loss =15 %

So, Loss % =C.P.S.P.C.P.×100=15
=>4,000S.P.4,000×100=15
=>4,000S.P.=600.
=>S.P.=Rs3,400

Now, for article B
C.P=Rs4,000
Profit =25 %
Now, with this C.P. and for Profit % =S.P.C.P.C.P.×100=25 %
=>S.P.4,0004,000×100=25
=>S.P.,000=1000
=>S.P.=Rs5,000

Given, average of all three S.P. =Rs3,960
=>3,400+5,000+S.P.ofC3=Rs3,960
=>S.P.ofC=Rs3,480

Since for C, S.P. < C.P. there will be a loss
And Loss % =C.P.S.P.C.P.×100=4,0003,4804,000×100=13 %
