Three boys step off together from the same spot. Their steps measure 52cm,65cmand 78cmrespectively . What is the minimum distance each should cover so that all can cover the distance in complete steps.

Since we know that the required minimum distance will be equal to the LCM of measures of their steps.

Step measure of 1st Boy = 52cm

Step measure of 2nd Boy = 65cm

Step measure of 3rd Boy = 78cm

L.C.M. (52,65,78)=780cm

Hence, the minimum distance each should cover so that all can cover the distance in complete steps is 780cm.
