Open in App
Solution

The possible outcomes when three coins are tossed together are
{HHH,TTT,THT,TTH,HHT,HTH,THH,HTT}. Therefore, the number of possible outcomes when two coins are tossed is 8.

Now, the possible outcomes of getting at least one head are {HHH,THT,TTH,HHT,HTH,THH,HTT}, which means the number of favourable outcome is 7.

Therefore, probability P of getting at least one head is:

P=78

Hence, the probability of getting at least one head is 78.
