Solution) Cubes are joined side by side,
so the length will be 4 + 4 + 4 = 12 cm
and
the breadth and height remain same as 4 cm.
So, the total surface area = 2(lb + bh + hl)
= 2(12×4 + 4×4 + 4×12)
= 2(48+16+48)
= 2 × 112 = 224 cm2
