x+y,y+z,z+x are in A.P. .....(i)
Common ratio of the
G.P =yx=zy=r (let)
Also (i)
y+z=(x+y)+(z+x)2
2x=y+z
r=yx=y(y+z)/2=2yy+z=21+zy
r=21+r
r2+r2=0
(r1)(r+2)=0
r=2 ....[because r=1 would mean x=y=z]
