Three elements A,B,C belong to IIA,IVA,VIA group respectively of the periodic table. The elements of group IVA form covalent bonds. The elements of groups IIA (alkaline earth metals) and group VIA (halogens) form electrovalent bond.

Thus, carbon (group IVA element) forms covalent compounds. Magnesium (group IIA metal) and oxygen (group VIA non metal) forms ionic compound MgO.

A and C form electrovalent bonds whereas B forms covalent bond.

Hence, option B is correct.
