Three equal resistances each of R ohm, are connected as shown in figure. Analyse how the circuit is redrawn and calculate its equivalent resistance across $AB$.

Now point S& Q are at same potential . Similarly point P &T are at same potential.

Joining resistance between S & P, P&Q and Q&T we find thst they all are in parallel.

Equivalent resistance across AB

$\frac{1}{R_{eq}}=\frac{1}{R}+\frac{1}{R}+\frac{1}{R}=\frac{3}{R}{R}_{eq}=R/3$
