Solution

The correct option is C 4/3 mg:2/3 mg

Given that,

Mass =m

Let, the acceleration of the system is a

For mass A

T1mg=ma...(I)

For mass B

2mgT1=2ma....(II)

For mass C

mgT2=ma.....(III)

Now, from equation (I), (II) and (III)

2mgT2=ma

T2=4ma+2mg

Now, put the value of T2in equation (III)

mg+4ma2mg=ma

mg=3ma

a=g3

Now, put the value of a in equation (I)

T1=m×g3+mg

T1=4mg3

Now, the tension T2 is

T2=m×g3mg

T2=2mg3

Hence, the tension is 4mg3 and 2mg3
