Three fileters, one of cyan (C), one of magenta (M) and the last, yellow (Y) are placed in front of a 100% transparent equilateral glass prism as shown in the figure. A screen (S) is placed on the other side of the prism. When a white, light ray is allowed to pass through the filters as shown in the figure and incident on the prism, what colours are obtained on the screen?

The correct option is C black
Black
When the white light hits the first filter cyan, it passes only red green and blue light and absorbs all other as the cyan consists of red, green and blue. When these colours hit on the second filter, magenta it passes only red and blue.

These two colours goes through yellow. A yellow filter absorbs all wavelength of light, expect yellow which it transmits. So no light passes through resultant colour is black.
