Solution

The correct option is C Q2
Let the charge distribution be as shown in the given figure.

Electric field at a point P inside leftmost plate due to all six surfaces are:

Due to charge Qq,
E1=Qq2ϵ0A (assumed towards right)

Due to charge +q,
E2=q2ϵ0A (towards left)

Due to charge q (middle plate),
E3=q2ϵ0A (towards right)

Due to charge +q (middle plate),
E4=q2ϵ0A (towards left)

Due to charge q (rightmost plate),
E5=q2ϵ0A (towards right)

Due to charge 2Q+q (rightmost plate),
E6=2Q+q2ϵ0A (assumed towards left)

Electric field at P should be zero as it is inside the conductor.

So, E1+E2+E3+E4+E5+E6=0

Qq2ϵ0Aq2ϵ0A+q2ϵ0Aq2ϵ0A+q2ϵ0A(2Q+q)2ϵ0A=0

(Qq)(2Q+q)=0

3Q2q=0q=3Q2

Further, charge on the outer surface of the rightmost plate is 2Q+q=2Q+3Q2=Q2

And the electric field due to the charge on this face will be towards right (assumed direction is wrong)

Hence, option (c) is correct.
