Given,
Mass of a spherical shell =m
Radius of spherical shell =r


Using Parallel Axis Theorem,
Moment of Inertia (M.O.I) of shell 1 about XX =23mr2+mr2=53mr2...(1)
Moment of Inertia of shell 2 will be same as shell 1 about XX =53mr2....(2) [By symmetry]
Moment of Inertia of shell 3 about XX=23mr2....(3)
As, M.O.I about same axis are added together.
On adding equation 1,2 and 3,
Isystem=53mr2+53mr2+23mr2
Isystem=123mr2
Isystem=4mr2
Moment of Inertia of the system about XX is 4mr2
