Question

Three isotopes of an element have mass number m, (m+1) and (m+2) .if the mass number is (m+0.5) then which of the following ratios may be accepted for m, (m+1),(m+2) in that order

Solution

There will be options to this question and we can only predict the answer from the options. We cannot do the calculations to find ratio as it will be difficult.
Now coming to the prediction part, the average atomic mass is given as m+0.5. It is obtained from three isotopes namely m, m+1, m+2. If the ratio of either of m+1 or m+2 is more then the average atomic mass will come more than m+1. But we are having average atomic mass as m+0.5 only.
So out of all the options the option having more ratio of m will lbe correct.
