Three measuring rods are 50cm,45cm,75cm in length. What is the least length in metres of a rope that can be measured by the full length of each of these rods?

Lengths of the Three rods are 45cm,

50cm , 75cm.

We have to find LCM of 45 , 50, 75

by prime factorization method :

45 = 3 × 3 × 5

50 = 2 × 5 × 5

75 = 3 × 5 × 5

Therefore ,

LCM ( 45 , 50 , 75 ) = 5 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 5

= 450cm

Answer in Metres=450/100
=4.5m
